Adding oxygen into a fishpond is very important for fish health, particularly in densely stocked ponds and in the summer months when oxygen levels are low. Fish will become visibly more active in an oxygen-rich pond. The Hozelock Cyprio air pump delivers a maximum air output of 45 or 75 litres per minute, which is suitable for the vast majority of fish and koi ponds.
The stylish weatherproof aluminium cage has been designed to ensure the pump can be safely left (uncovered) outdoors to simplify installation.
The Hozelock Cyprio air pump includes a 10cm airstone(s), a chrome plated metal manifold with 12 outlets and 5 or 10m of air tube (4mm Ø) as standard.
The 10cm air stone allows maximum diffusion of air into the water and avoids the need for multiple air stones making installation easier. If necessary, an additional 11 airstones can be added to provide oxygen to different areas of the pond.
An air pump can also be used in winter months to stop the pond freezing over and trapping harmful gases and substances, which can be very harmful to fish. The Hozelock Cyprio air pump is an essential piece of equipment for all serious fish keepers.
