Improved, compact and highly effective pond filters now with Easy Clean capability
New Improved range with higher pond size ratings, now with Kaldnes K3 biomedia and rduced cleaning
Bioforce has been relaunched with the range comprising four compact Bioforce UVC filters for 3000 5500 8000 and 12000 litre ponds. The well established strengths of Bioforce are still prominent in the latest version and mean that, as a pressurised filter, the product is ideal for pond keepers who want ease of use, clear water and a filter system hidden from view.
Bioforce is a pressurised system which means a smaller, less obtrusive container size is needed and can be buried next to the pond out of sight. Pressure also means that filtered water can travel up to the top of a waterfall without the need to be placed at the same height level. Standard equipment in Bioforce includes both a UVC and biological filtration capability: Clearwater is therefore guaranteed when the correct size product for the pond is used.
All Bioforce sizes have been improved with the following features for high performance and ease of use:
Mechanical Filtration
More efficient and less cleaning:
· “Through-flow” coarse foams reduce filter cleaning frequency.
· Profiled foams present a larger surface area for efficient removal of waste.
· Layered foams make thorough foam cleaning easy.
Biological Filtration
Increased biological capacity
Biological filtration has been improved by the addition of Kaldnes K3 bio media exclusive to Hozelock Cyprio filter systems. Kaldnes is scientifically proven and in widespread use in industrial water purification processes. As a result, it has vastly superior biological capacity compared to other biomedia used in pond filtration.
Increased biological activity
When using the new “backflush” facility, water flow through the Kaldnes biomedia removes loose debris and old less active bacteria, stimulating bacterial activity as a result.
UVC-for the efficient removal of green water
UV efficiency
Only maximum efficiency quartz slleves are used giving 87% UV efficiency for treating algae, compared to 30% and 50% for glass and plastic respectively. High efficiency single-ended UV lamps and an in-built water “turbulator” ensure maximum water treatment and elimination of green water. Bayonet fitting of the UVC lamp allows quick cleaning and lamp change as required.
UV viewing point
Bioforce is now equipped with a specially designed indicator so that the user can safely see if the UV lamp is switched on and functioning.
Easy Cleaning
The range now has an Easy Clean “backflush” facility for flushing debris out of the filter thereby extending the time between thorough foam cleaning. This is also aided by the use of new “flow through” coarse foams, which efficiently remove waste particles whilst also reducing cleaning frequency.
