Have some fun feeding your Goldfish and Koi giving them some exercise at the same time. Watch Koi Playing Ball and having fun.
Available from ValueAquatics the simple to use feeding ball, simply put the normal amount of food into the Feeding Ball and add a couple of table tennis balls to take up the excess space and help floatation. Depending on the type of food use the open or closed door on the ball. If you feed Koi sticks or granules use the door in the shut or closed position. If you are feeding pieces of lettuce or fruit use with the semi-closed door for closing the ball. Then simply place the ball on the surface, it may take a while until the Koi work out that there is food in the ball but once they learn to associate the ball with food anything from a day to a week, then sit back and watch the fun when you put the ball onto the pond surface. After feeding remove the ball from the pond.

The oxygen levels in ponds depends on quite a few variables water surface area, number of fish, temperature, water movement to mention a few. So if one or more of these factors alter it can greatly affect the oxygen in your pond. If the oxygen level in pond water drops the fish will not look as alert and be swimming in a very lethargic manor and most of the fish will be seen gulping air from the surface, do not confuse this with the fish just mouthing the water surface this is natural and usually the fish just taking insects off the surface.
As most of us myself included have added that extra fish too many and most ponds are overstocked anyway it is a good idea to add oxygen to the pond via a pond air pump. ValueAquatics can highly recommend the Hozelock Air Pumps rated at 45 Lpm (1820) to the 75 Lpm (1786).
The pumps are weather proof and have been designed to be left outdoors.
These pumps come complete with a 10cm air stone which allows maximum diffusion of the air into the water. The pump comes with a metal manifold with 12 outlets so that extra air stones can be added if necessary.
Easy installation
Strong diaphragm
Reliable, quiet and inexpensive to run (35w)
Rubber feet to dampen any noise or vibration
Stylish aluminium weatherproof case
Chrome coated metal manifold with 12 outlets
5m of 4mm air line (45Lpm) 10m of 4mm air line (75Lpm)
10cm air stone (2 in 75lpm model)

Be prepared and don’t wait till you need it, get a Tetra Water Test Kit for your pond from ValueAquatics now. When you discover any problems with your pond, or the fish are not looking or acting normal the first thing you should do is test the water quality. It is amazing the number of times that the water quality has dropped and then there is a problem and people just start throwing in chemicals making matters worse.
The Tetra Water Test kit comes complete with everything you need to test the pond water for pH, Nitrite and Ammonia. The kit includes test vials, dosing syringe all the chemicals for testing and an easy to follow instruction booklet and colour charts.
The tests are very easy to use simply compare the test sample against the colour charts supplied.
The water being tested should not be bellow 60°f or the test will give a false result. If the water is cold simply warm it slightly or let it stand till it gets to room temperature. From April to October there should not be a problem.
Test kit comes complete with test vials and all chemicals

If you pond has green water look at the filter system have you a UV as part of you filter if not then the easiest solution is a UV clarifier. The pond water is pumped through the unit before it is filtered and the UV destroys the algae cell walls and makes them clump together so that they can be taken out by the filter. A far better solution than adding chemicals all the time which could cause other problems in the pond.
The T.M.C U/V clarifier is easy to install on most surfaces including walls and on existing boxes. The hose tails are easily removed and allows easy access for servicing. When fixing the pipe work to the hose tails remember to trim them back to the required hose size with a small hacksaw and trim any rough bits from the inside with a knife or sandpaper, otherwise you are restricting the flow rate.
The Clarifiers offered by Valueaquatics come in various wattages to allow them to be used in various positions and for different pond sizes. I would always go for the bigger unit that is recommended as with light intensity increasing and most ponds are in full sun and generally end up overstocked. Remember that when you put those first four or five 2-3” goldfish in you pond and it looked empty so you put another 4-6 fish in. Then after a while you have 10, 10” fish in your pond which is a big load on the pond compared to the smaller fish.
Mountable on most surfaces
Ease of use
Easy servicing
Glowing hose tails
Multi stage hose tails for pipe sizes ½”, ¾”, 1” & 1¼”
Uses compact, high power UV lamp
36 month guarantee
Comes complete with 10m of cable

You may not have heard of Gordon Low though they are the UK’s leading pond liner manufacturer of EPDM flexible pond liners. They also do tailor made (box welded liners. Despite its name Greenseal EPDM it is black in colour, and a synthetic rubber membrane making it perfect as a pond liner etc. Greenseal EPDM looks and feels very similar to Butyl but has far better physical properties. ValueAquatics offer you a wide range of sizes cut to the nearest half a meter. If you want a bespoke size simply E-Mail the measurements to us at for a quotation Via our site.
